Mass Nass Band claimed First Place in River Boat Days Parade
Last Saturday, August 4th, 2012 the Mass Nass Band claimed first place during the Annual River Boat Day parade in Terrace BC.
The 54 piece marching band had representatives from all four Nisga'a communities and entertained both judges and the crowds alike with their music. A spokesperson from the River Boat Days parade said "The Nisga'a Band was hands down the best in this year's parade".
Also participating in the parade were Gitmaxmakay, Nisga'a Valley Health, and the Elders. The Elders float featured a "Wilp Sihoon"-Smoke House, and were giving K'ayukws-dried salmon, to onlookers of the parade.
